Over many years, Private Forestry Southern Queensland has developed a native forest
management (NFM) training series for landholders. In many other States of Australia NF
Extension has also continued to be developed, irrespective of significant policy impediments. In
recognition of the need to share new developments, learn from others and facilitate a forum for the
discussion of NF extension, PFSQ is calling for expressions of interest.
The objectives:
- Work through the NF workshop series developed by PFSQ
- Sharing of information, tools and resources developed for native forestry extension
- Further development of concepts and methodology used in NF extension
- Sessions discussing Grazing Land Management and the relationship with NF management
- Field sessions looking at interpretation of forest structure and implications for management and
extension.
- The role of demonstration site in extending forest management practices.
