Over many years, Private Forestry Southern Queensland has developed a native forest
management (NFM) training series for landholders. In the recognition of the need to enable a
broader distribution of training skills, PFSQ is conducting a ‘Train the Trainer' type of course.
The objectives of the course are:
- Assist people involved in NRM to facilitate or deliver Native Forest Management training
- Assist in the shortage of people suitably equipped to deliver NFM training
- Broader geographical distribution of skills and knowledge associated with NFM
- In response to a request for training by other forestry organisations and NRM Groups

- Preferably some practical experience in forestry
- Some tertiary background relating to NRM
- Skills in facilitation and presentation
- Background reading of all Guides
Requirements/conditions:
- Must attend all 4 days
- At least 60% in field training
Outcomes:
- Extensive understanding of workshop series
- Confidence to organise, facilitate and present workshop series
- Understanding of site dynamics and forest interpretation
- Preparation for ad hoc questions and the ability to answer
